To radically increase the share of renewables in the energy system, power transmission grids with more capacity and wider reach are needed. At Scibreak we develop a key technology for the power transmission grids of the future — high-voltage, fast-acting circuit breakers.
Scibreak’s technology greatly reduces the costs of circuit breakers, enabling the sustainable Supergrid of the future.
Our people are our most important asset. If you have great knowledge and experience in electric power engineering, power electronics, and/or embedded systems using FPGAs, or do you have an interest and a curious nature? Then we are interested in talking with you about becoming part of our team!

We are looking for a design engineer to work on the development of protection strategies for multi-terminal HVDC grids. This entails defining overall protection philosophy as well as DC switching station design requirements considering fault detection and fault clearing. You will be interacting and working together with external contacts to enable large scale multi-terminal grids. This will include direct contacts with TSOs and participation in EU projects, e.g., InterOPERA.
You will be leading the development of protection strategies for multi-terminal HVDC grids at Scibreak. This means defining overall protection philosophy as well as switching station design requirements considering fault detection and fault clearing. This also involves leading protection strategy group within Scibreak and helping to expand it.
